The headboard is a runner style so you can use it as a shelf with each side extending out over the nightstands on either side. The headboard is for a king bed but essentially you could use any sized bed. I have the original shelf that fits in the armoire but I took it out and retrofit a 9 cube storage box inside which makes it very functional. Everything is still in great shape and will make someone a WONDERFUL new entire bedroom suite!! We are located in Coppell. It will take a good sized truck to move all of it at once.
