4K a year Austin Bridge & Road is currently seeking an experienced Safety Trainer for projects in Coppell, Texas.

This role will perform a variety of duties relating, but not limited to, developing and presenting in-person safety training, onboarding new hires, and helping further company growth through employee-owner development.
Responsibilities Develop safety training as directed Develops and presents in-person Safety and HR training for new hires on a daily basis.
Partners with the HR team, the Safety team, and hiring managers to ensure onboarding efficiency and effectiveness.
Maintains recordkeeping related to equipment certifications, motor vehicle reports, and training completions.
Prepares weekly and monthly reports for the HR Director and Safety Director.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in safety, human resources, talent management, and training & development.
Coordinate logistics for daily onboarding training for craft new hires, including conference room reservations, lunch orders as needed, communication with new hires and hiring managers, and others as necessary.
Manage the company's on-the-job training program.
Assist with Driver Qualification files for DOT compliance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Present targeted safety training (rigging and hand signaling, heat stress, etc.
) Qualifications & Skills Must be fluent in both English and Spanish required Associate degree or higher in occupational safety or other safety-related field, organizational development, human resources, business, education, or equivalent required; or related experience in safety training or equivalent may substitute Background in safety strongly preferred OSHA 500 certification strongly preferred Previous training and experience with Driver Qualification files strongly preferred 2
years of experience in developing and delivering training content Experience with blended learning techniques (virtual, instructor-led, etc.
) preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with all levels within the organization and tailor communication appropriately.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Thorough knowledge of safety-related laws and regulations as well as employment-related laws and regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the relevant organizational tools HRIS and talent management systems.
Physical Requirements Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
