You will manage daily Accounts Receivable functions, identifying, reviewing, and analyzing accounts receivable information, tracking performance, and managing processes pertaining to aged accounts receivable.
In this highly transactional position, you will recommend methods and procedures to improve accounting processes and perform activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate ledger and the resultant managerial reports and financial statements.
Responsibilities Primary contact for AR, ensure timely and accurate daily invoicing and management of outstanding invoices.
Compile and submit weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly customer statements, royalty, and licensing reports.
Record and apply payments, payment adjustments, and credit memos to the correct accounts.
Analyze, investigate and reconcile AR aging and work with project management to resolve outstanding balances and/or prepare write-offs for doubtful accounts.
Contacts Customers to collect past-due AR and documents progress in AR aging.
Document and review all control procedures and identify opportunities for process improvements to create departmental efficiencies.
Advise internal departments, field personnel, and/or non-Follett associates on how to handle/resolve transactions with a financial impact.
Communicate, document, and/or follow company policies and procedures for internal controls.
Participate in the creation of business requirements, system design, testing, and/or issue identification and resolution related to strategic initiatives.
Prepare and/or contribute to the preparation and/or review/reconciliation of the standard and specialized accounting reports (e.
g.
, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies.
Prepare and/or record journal entries related to the month-end balance sheet and income statement activity.
Monitor and support physical inventories of materials and fixed assets and communicate any inventory adjustments to management team Review of manufacturing bills of materials (BOMs) for accuracy and perform Actual vs Forecast analysis Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs Maintain and update inventory records during and after inventory counts and throughout the year Complete and review inventory-related accruals and balance sheet reconciliations monthly Cost Accounting-Planning, Studying and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, labor, and overhead costs Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business 0-3 years of comparable experience in a corporate/ manufacturing-based environment.
Advanced computer skills with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience with ERP systems, accounting packages, and online reporting tools.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
